Accessibility
The Slade School of Fine Art is based in two historic buildings, both with limited accessibility. We are working to improve accessibility but face many challenges.
We are committed to providing as much access to our public events as we can. If you have any questions or require specific arrangements for your visit, please contact us at paul.horne@ucl.ac.uk or s.kajombo@ucl.ac.uk.

Slade Main Building accessibility
The Slade’s main building is grade 1 listed and includes various additions that were put in place before building regulations gave full consideration to accessibility.
While some areas of the building are accessible with support, there are sections of the building that would be considered inaccessible to wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. Our shortfalls on building accessibility have been identified, but we aim to provide the necessary support is available to all where possible and within these limitations.
Woburn Square Accessibility
Our Woburn Square building was built in the 1950’s. We lease this building and predominantly occupy the fifth floor. This building was partially refurbished in 2023.
We await a second phase of refurbishment (to include improving access arrangements). At present, due to the limited accessibility to the fifth floor we are unable to open this building for public events.
