I. MILLS
I. MILLS – MA/MFA
My practice explores surroundings, branding, consumerism, mass production and painting. I am interested in collective experiences and how the visual landscape changes when items and imagery are isolated from their original intentions, and the new role they take on when presented together. My current work contemplates journeys with a particular focus on driving to explore feelings of home, mystery and potential. I am interested in the materiality of shiny and sparkly things, and the metaphor of reflecting on experience this creates.
