The root word of glamour is grimoire.
Grimoire roughly translates to book of spells, in this sense it is possible to cast a glamour.
Glamour functions in my practice as shield, magnifier, force to juxtapose against grime and gunk and umbrella to encompass themes micro and macro:
My birth place the Black Country with its mix of post industrial landscape and colourful multiculturalism, female identity in macho spaces, my walkout song if I was to go 12 rounds rounds with Prince Naseem, my time spent working as a fabricator of other artists' work, pop culture, the political scape of the world and the precipice we seem to be facing in terms of distribution of wealth and power.
