Shona Waldron – MA/MFA

Originating from a longstanding interest in the natural sciences, my work draws upon themes of entanglement, evolution and indeterminacy. Through this, I explore transitional states between one thing and another to evoke a mutable view of existence within an ever-changing world. I work with animation, collage, drawing and computer-generated imagery to depict organic forms and regenerative cycles. Living beings are seen as processes rather than things and nature as an event that never ends. Through this, all matter is interconnected in a way that transcends human influence and challenges the imagination.
