Yage Guo is a practising artist based in London and Shanghai. She completed her undergraduate study at Slade in 2020 and is currently completing her postgraduate here. She has participated in various international and UK based group shows. Her works initiated from a desire to hold on to “a moment of time”, which come from memories, film shots, animations, observations…For Yage, painting enables a special sense of holding on to exist – it pulses the moment, becoming a re-engagement between her and the subject matter, an escape to the fantasy.
