James Berrington

These artworks by James Berrington are part of his Common Ground series. During the pandemic, the artist spent time in nature as a form of selfcare. This experience raised very personal questions around identity and wellbeing - what it means to be 'English', the lived experiences we do and don't share as human beings, the common spaces we can visit for respite. The combination of images and sounds from an English woodland are intended to encourage similar questioning as well as to provide sanctuary.
