We were very sad to hear yesterday that Andrew Stahl has died after a long illness. Andrew was a much-loved artist, teacher, and colleague. He was a student at the Slade and worked here since 1991 and held the role of Head of Undergraduate Painting for many years. Andrew ran the Transcultural Artist Network, a residency programme at the Slade from 2008 until recently, giving artists and Slade students the opportunity to learn from each other.

He will be sadly missed by all of us at the Slade. We send our thoughts and condolences to his wife, daughters, son, and friends.
