Our first Portfolio Review Day, held on November 2, 2024 at the Slade, welcomed back our Widening Participation Summer School students for personalised feedback on their personal statements, helping them refine their applications for programmes in Fine Art, Art & Tech, Architecture, Design, and more.

The day offered individual reviews, guidance on crafting strong personal statements, and practical insights into portfolio preparation and pathways to higher education. Beyond tailored feedback, students participated in a collaborative writing workshop, engaged in peer discussions and attended the Slade Open Day Talks and Tour to connect with academic staff—deepening their understanding of the journey ahead to art school.

We look forward to the next sessions scheduled in December and January, where students will continue developing their portfolios in preparation for future academic pursuits.
