The Slade School of Fine Art is excited to offer a unique opportunity for Year 11, Year 12 and FE college Level 3 students living in London (or just outside London) to develop their own skills and interests in Fine Art practices through a two-week summer course.
The Fine Art summer course will be taking place at the Slade Bloomsbury Campus, Gower Street, London (Mondays-Fridays).
Through a series of workshops guided by practicing artists and tutors (including drawing, painting, sculpture, analogue & digital film, sound and performance) you will gain experience in an art studio environment, fostering confidence in independent and collaborative work, encouraging experimentation, skill development, and meaningful dialogue with peers and mentors.
The course will provide insight into the diverse opportunities within the Art and Design industries and offer a taste of university-level studies in these fields. Participants will engage in daily practical workshops, visit London galleries, and the course will conclude with a shared event/exhibition.
Additionally, we will offer follow-on workshops for portfolio development and guidance on applying to BA programmes later in the year.
The course is free of charge; lunch will be provided every day and travel is included.
First deadline Monday 1 July 2024.
Apply here via the Microsoft Application Form.
