Artist's statement
Daydream is illusion, shelter, escape, utopia. It is a withdrawal from the sensory world and attention can flit between the inner and outer worlds. A mind-wandering man alienated from his immediate surroundings, inhabits a liminal place where both the physical and the imaginary exists side by side. Personal contact with reality is blurred and partially replaced by a fantasy of coming or passed hopes or ambitions, happiness or sadness.
