Cities Methodologies 2014, an exhibition of innovative urban research and specially curated events exploring cities from artists, academics and independent researchers, organised by UCL Urban Laboratory, is taking place at the Slade Research Centre Woburn Square, Woburn Square, London WC1H 0HB, from 29 - 31 October 2014. Leah Lovett is speaking about her project, Contra Band, in Violence and the City in Latin American Theatre and Culture at Violence and the City, at Rich Mix, 35 - 47 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6LA, at 2pm on Friday 17 October 2014.

Alexander Thompson's short film, Gallery Girl, has won the Audience Award at the Santa Monica Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles, 3 - 5 October 2014.

Phyllida Barlow’s 2013 original print Untitled: Dog Door is now available to purchase online. This print, produced by the artist at the Slade, is first in the series of Slade Editions, an annual fundraising initiative launched at the 2013 Slade Print Fair. All funds from the sales of Slade Editions will be used to support Slade students and print initiatives. See onlinestore.ucl.ac.uk.
