Katie Paterson is one of three artists shortlisted for the 46th International Prize for Contemporary Art (PIAC). See www.e-flux.com and www.fondationprincepierre.mc.
The PIAC – Prix International d’Art Contemporain (International Contemporary Art Prize) is awarded every three years for a recent work by an artist at the forefront of their practice, rewarding the finalist with a sum of 40,000 EURO, including 20,000 EUR to fund the production of a new work. For the 2016 prize, the commission will be premiered in Brazil, alongside the winning artwork, during the 2016 São Paulo Biennial.
