The theme of the exhibition was artistic process and prior to the exhibition 26 of the participating artists were interviewed about their process. These interviews were conducted by Patricia Townsend and audio recordings were included in the exhibition in a sound installation.
In the week prior to the exhibition, some of the Woburn galleries were used as studio spaces by Slade PhD students. This enabled both the production of new works and experimentation with alternative ways of installing new and existing pieces.
The exhibition attracted approximately 1000 visitors, including groups of students from adult education colleges who were offered guided tours as part of a public engagement programme.
